BON ACQUIRES KRAMER BROTHER ASSETS
Bon Tool Co. announced that it has acquired the operating assets from Kramer Brothers Foundry Co. of Dayton, Ohio. Kramer Brothers was the exclusive manufacturer of Gem Cement Tools, many of which Bon will continue to produce. Kramer Brothers Foundry was established by three members of the Kramer family in early 1895. Initially the foundry produced parts for heating stoves and furnaces, along with a line of cast iron urns and ornamental accessories developed to keep the factory productive in spring and summer months. By the 1950's the production of the ornamental line was discontinued and the line of Gem Cement Tools was put into production. Gem Tools include a selection of Edgers; Groovers; Curb Tools; Jointers; and Imprinters for concrete finishing. Commenting on the acquisition, John Wight of Bon Tool Co. says,We remain focused on trying to provide a large number of options to professional contractors of the building trades.Wight further commented that adding the Gem Tools provides Bon customers with high quality concrete tools in a traditional bronze finish. BON TOOL CO. ACQUIRES U.B. TOOL
(June 29, 2005) Bon Tool Co. announced that it has acquired U.B. Tool and certain related assets of the Muskegon, Michigan-based tool manufacturer. U. B. Tool has been supplying masonry tools to professional tool distributors since 1945. The company was the originator of the cast aluminum line stretcher and the popular U.B Tool joint raker. The U.B. Tool name is associated with high-quality pro tools throughout the United States. Bon Tool Co. will continue to provide the majority of these tools to the marketplace. Commenting on the acquisition, John Wight of Bon Tool Co.says,the acquisition better positions Bon as one of the largest suppliers of tools for the building trades.Wight further commented Bon anticipates the purchase will increase the number of Bon distributors, particularly in the mid west. Management expects the acquisition to immediately impact sales as Bon Tool Co. will be servicing U.B. Tool accounts.
BON TOOL CO. ACQUIRES ASSETS OF COWANESQUE FOUNDRY
Bon Tool Co. has acquired the tooling and manufacturing rights of select tools from Cowanesque Valley Iron Works. Post Mauls, Asphalt Irons, Dirt Tampers, Band Tighteners and other cast iron products are included in this purchase. Cowanesque Valley Iron works manufactured the popular Swett maul which Bon Tool Co. offers as its Midwest Maul. The acquisition will allow Bon Tool Co. to continue production of these popular general construction tools, while assuring quality control. The addition of this tooling is important to Bon Tool Co., as the company continues to bring specialized products to the marketplace at the most competitive prices.
BON TOOL CO. PURCHASES O'TOOL
(March 15, 2007) Bon Tool Co. has completed its acquisition of O'Tool Co. and certain related assets of this Henderson, Nevada based division of QEP Co., Inc. The O'Tool Co. supplies of a wide range of tools to the construction market. O'Tools product line of hand tools for the trowel trades is comparable to Bon's product offering. The company serves distributor customers located primarily in the western half of the United States. In 2008 Bon will begin marketing the acquired products through Bon's master catalog and on the Bon website. O'Tool and Bon customers will both benefit from the expanded product selection resulting from the acquisition. Bon will maintain the western distribution center in Nevada in addition to its distribution center in Pennsylvania. Commenting on the acquisition, Bon vice president John Wight says the recent purchase will permit expansion of Bon's products to western U.S. markets. The companies are quite similar in terms of product and distribution, so it was a natural fit. The combined customer base will benefit from greater selection and quicker shipping to both east and west coast locations,says Wight. Bon brings 50 years of experience in tool design, manufacturing and marketing to O'Tools customer base. The purchase of this tool company should immediately impact sales at Bon as the company will continue to serve O'Tool accounts.

BON PURCHASES WHA-LITE TOOL
(April 29, 2008) Bon Tool Co. has completed its acquisition of Wha-Lite Corporation and the operating assets of the Chicago, Illinois based tool company. For over 60 years, Wha-Lite has manufactured professional-quality tools for plaster and concrete finishing. The manufacture of Wha-Lite hand tools combines long lasting durability with its signature lightweight magnesium. Bon will continue the manufacture of select Wha-Lite magnesium products while maintaining Wha-Lite tool specifications and the company's tradition of providing contractors with lightweight tools that make every hour on the job more productive and more profitable. Over 120 products will continue to be marketed under the Wha-Lite brand and available through Bon. The distribution of the products will be handled through Bon's eastern and western U.S. distribution centers located in Pennsylvania and Nevada respectively. You will get better results on epoxy applications when using Spiked Rollers from Bon Tool Co. Introducted in 2004, these Spiked Rollers relieve surface tension to eliminate trapped air bubbles in the floor coating. STAINLESS STEEL BARREL JOINTER IN PRODUCTION
Bon Tool Co. has expanded its line of stainless steel tools with the manufacture of its Stainless Steel Barrel Jointer. This masonry jointer, is more durable than a carbon steel jointer. Unlike carbon, the modified stainless steel formula of the barrel is corrosion resistant.This means there is less risk of dark rusty spots on finished mortar joints. Bon's Stainless Steel Barrel Jointer comes with four replaceable barrels ranging from ½ inch to 7/8 inch. Bon continues to grow its line of stainless steel tools which now includes more than 50 masonry trowels and three masonry jointers, including this new Barrel Jointer and a new Bullhorn Jointer for 2006. BON EXPANDS LINE OF PAVER HANDLING TOOLS
Bon's line of interlocking paver handling tools includes a slab mover, sand and base rakes, curb tongs and a new splitter. These products work in combination with the other tools in the line to provide contractors with all the necessary tools to complete an interlocking landscape project. The slab mover handles slabs up to 40 inches and 330 pounds. At this weight capacity, it can move most large units. With a jaw capacity of 14-l/2 inches and a recommended weight load of 110 pounds the curb tongs are ideal for placing and aligning smaller sized slabs and large block. The PAVER AND WALL SPLITTER from Bon Tool Co. is designed to cut pavers and retaining wall units up to 12" thick. Bon's splitter is portable and dependence to provide a quick and easy method of cutting masonry units on the jobsite. Masonry units can be cut at any angle with the l6-1/8 inch wide cutting blade. The blade adjustment pin quickly and easily adjusts the height to one of three positions; finer adjustments can be made with the unique front crank handle. This system can be used for brick or any other masonry veneer work to maintain a straight vertical joint, a consistent 3/8-inch thick. Place the rod holder and rod in the desired plumb position and mount to sheetrock, Styrofoam insulation or any veneer surface that will hold a screw. Once the wall is laid up to the holder, remove and replace holder to higher position along the veneer. Continue doing so as the rod remains in original position, maintaining the vertical joint.
